*Our Conservation and Land Management eLearning Modules have been mapped to the following units of competency and can be used to prove prior learning when applying for Certificate III and IV in Conservation and Land Management.

The course is designed to support beginners in land conservation, while also providing a refresher and updated practices for experienced land managers. We do not require prior learning or experience, and we believe all learners will benefit from the course modules.

No, the course is open to anyone interested in land conservation. We do recommend that current and future agreement holders complete the course to achieve the best biodiversity outcomes for their agreement sites.

This course is based on and complements the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust's guidelines, webinars and existing conservation management resources. It offers learners a flexible way to gain a thorough understanding of land management for conservation at their own pace.

We want to ensure students have access to the most up-to-date information on conservation land management practices. In partnership with Tocal College, we update the course material routinely to reflect any changes in practices.

The course content has been created by the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust's Education team in collaboration with the NSW Department of Primary Industries' Tocal College, which has extensive experience in providing specialised training to the agricultural sector. The NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust works with private landholders across the state to help manage their properties for conservation.

You can find more resources on land management practices in our resources hub.
